Our chefs will be on hand to teach you about all aspects of seafood and how to handle, fillet, shell and cook it. There is also a range of complimentary courses which cover sauces, bread making, desserts, meat & vegetarian dishes etc.

The Mourne Seafood Cookery School’ s own Masterchef is the dynamic Roger Moynihan, who has a great knowledge and passion for seafood and is lots of fun as well.

 Originally from Warrenpoint Roger started his training in Newry catering college before going on to work in some of the world’s finest restaurants. He was Head chef of the famous seafood restaurant ‘Armstrong’s in Sydney Australia and Chief pastry chef in the 5 star Royal Livingstone hotel in Zambia.

He has trained under some of Irelands top chefs including none other than Conrad Gallagher (the youngest chef to be awarded a Michelin star in Ireland) for his Dublin restaurant Peacock Alley and 2011 Irish chef of the year Danny Millar at Balloo house in Killinchy After many years of travelling Roger has moved home and taken over the helm of the Sweet Pea Café/Bistro @Annetts garden centre in Warrenpoint whilst also working as a part time lecturer at SERC in Downpatrick catering college. He has also just recently completed an Advanced Diploma in International Culinary Arts withThamesValleyUniversityinLondon.

 From his work around the globe Roger is well used to working with his raw ingredients and prides himself in cooking everything from scratch.
